X-Blox Keys

Keys anc controls on a custom X-blox unitA good keyboard or control surface design places emphasis on the most frequently used functions using a prominent location and/or large keys for ease of use (i.e. the space bar, Shift, and Enter keys on your keyboard). Less frequent commands should be clearly labeled and grouped logically such that the user can easily find and select them when required. The X-blox system offers flexibility of design with a standard set of modules.

Using a versatile rubber dome and a modular key frame system allows us to quickly and reliably construct key layouts arranged in logical groups.

  • ¾” centered rows and columns
  • 1x1, 1x4, 3x4, and 4x8 standard modules
  • Transparent frame allows for backlighting
  • Silent tactile full travel switch
  • Guaranteed for over 2 million operations

 

Using a Cherry MX style key stem makes the X-blox keys compatible with a wide variety of standard key caps.

  • 1x1 key cap in transparent, gray, beige and other colors
  • 1x2 wide or tall caps in gray or beige
  • 2x2 beige cap in tactile hinged design
  • 1x5 transparent cap (spacebar style design)

Both our standard and industrial key caps offer a host of possibilities for custom and user defined key legends

  • Printed legends under clear lens
