Button Switches

The X-keys One Button, Stomp Foot & Feather Touch switches are simple external switches with a standard 3.5 mm plug, available in multiple colors and styles. One Button models include a removable colored lens disc or add a custom label underneath the transparent lens disc. On their own, the switches function as standard switches, but when connected to an x-keys Switch Interface they can be programmed using x-keys software to trigger macros, shortcuts, hotkeys, and other actions.

Programming

Getting set up is simple. Plug the Switch Interface into your computer via USB, then connect any standard switch with a 3.5mm plug. Use our programming software to assign macros or commands to each button. Each button works as a mono switch—open or close—and the Switch Interface translates it into a command for your computer.

USB 3 – Up to Three Switches

The USB 3 Switch Interface allows you to connect up to three switches using a splitter cable. Each switch can be assigned its own function. Splitter and adapter cables can also be combined, letting you connect multiple switches in parallel to trigger the same command.

  • Connects directly with a standard 3.5mm plug
  • Works with mono assistive technology switches
  • Supports splitters for multiple inputs
  • One interface = up to three independent switches

USB 12 – Up to Twelve Switches

The USB 12 Switch Interface accepts up to twelve individual switches through its six ports. Each port takes a 3.5mm plug. For more flexibility, each port can also handle two switches using a left/right (stereo) splitter.

Important:

  • The splitter must separate the left and right channels
  • Perfect for setups needing six to twelve switches
  • Standard headphone splitters will not work

Switch Options and Connections

Any assistive technology switch with a 3.5mm plug can be used with our Switch Interfaces. Splitters and adapters allow you to:

  • Combine multiple switches to trigger the same command
  • Expand inputs with 2-way or 3-way splitters (depending on the interface)
  • Customize your setup for accessibility or workflow control
